Double-Hipped Edwardian Conservatory
Conservatories were developed by the Victorians as a room to grow exotic plants and as a living space between the house and the garden. There are many designs of conservatories to choose from that will meet your needs and complement the look of your home. The conservatory can be fully glazed or can incorporate brick or stone pillars to make it feel more like a room. Using modern materials your conservatory can be comfortable both in the winter and summer by taking account of the direction that your conservatory is facing relative to the sun and any shading that may be present. All of our conservatories and orangeries are designed to meet the wind and snow loads specific to your postcode and we will provide you with a report to show that the conservatory design is structurally sound.
Orangeries.
Orangeries differ from conservatories in that they have a ceiling running around the perimeter. This feature makes the structure feel more like a room. The glazed roof in the centre of the ceiling lets light stream in, even when it’s raining. There are a range of materials and finishes, all structurally proven. We can provide low maintenance products in uPVC, powder coated aluminium or composite materials using powder coated aluminum on the outside for durability and laquered timer on the inside for a warm natural look.
